Care of jewelry
In order for your jewelery to look good for as long as possible, remember to take good care of it and treat it with care.
A piece of jewelery will always fade a little over time, but you can extend its durability by following these simple tips:
- To preserve the shine of your jewelry, use a polishing cloth to polish and wipe your jewelry, but never use homemade methods to clean your jewelry.
- Avoid getting your jewelry in contact with perfumes, creams, nail polish removers, hair sprays or similar chemicals.
- Avoid exposing your jewelry to water and moisture. therefore avoid exposing your jewelery to sports, bathing, cooking and not wearing it while sleeping.
- Store your jewelry in an airtight bag or jewelry box if you want to prevent your sterling silver jewelry from getting darker as part of the natural oxidation process. If a piece of jewelery has been oxidized, it can be polished so that it becomes shiny and fine again.
Gold-plated jewelery will eventually patinate / fade and this is not considered a complaint.
